Michael Caplin has 25+ years of experience working in the social sector, serving as chief executive, director and manager of an array of arts, education and social service agencies including The Widespread Jazz Foundation, the Lincoln Theater Foundation, the Smithsonian Institution and Childhelp USA. He is a member of the Phoenix Project faculty, teaching social entrepreneurship and strategic planning for nonprofits. Mr. Caplin is a Member of the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars, appointed by the President in 2010.
